She turned down what could have been her big break, a role in Escape from L.A. (1996), because it starred Kurt Russell and "I didn't want to be professionally associated with my dad. I just wanted to see if I could do the audition."
She can play guitar and piano.

the sweetest moment was when the kids were done and when we finished with the kids. It was just so emotional. And I looked at Abby [Breslin, who plays five-year-old Sarah] and she was crying. I mean it was so difficult. We just hugged forever and I told them I loved them.
